Armin’s 80th Birthday Remarks

My Dear Friends,

I feel shocked that I have reached 80.
It is changing my life in many meaningful ways, including my being honored here today.

I am very grateful for your coming here.
I am also very grateful for my wife, Grace, who has done a tremendous amount of work to bring us together, the first part of it unknown to me for a long time.

I am embarrassed and yet thrilled to be honored.

I have had a very rich life.
I had wonderful family in which there was a lot of pain but many advantages.
I was able to go to college and I was fortunate to meet Carl Rogers who helped me embrace my passion in psychotherapy.

My clients, many of whom are here today, became real friends as they shared their lives with me.

I am so glad to have my family and friends of long years here with me today to celebrate with me. 

Thank you so much for coming here today and being a part of my life.

Most of All, Thank You to Don, Vivian and Alisa for this wonderful concert.
